Executive Director Press Release

Barnstable, MA- August 28, 2017 – The Commercial Kitchen Coop of Cape Cod, Inc., a Barnstable based 501c3 nonprofit, today announced it has named Chef Alan Zox, PhD as its Executive Director.  Zox will be responsible for all day to day operations of CKC3 and will report to the company’s Board of Directors.

“We are delighted that Chef Alan is joining our team.  He brings a broad range of professional culinary experience as a chef, lecturer, food writer and caterer.  In addition, Alan has extensive entrepreneurial experience having created, managed and raised capital for both for profit and non-profit corporations.” said Lee Hill, CKC3 President.

In accepting the position, Chef Alan Zox said: “I am excited about creating kitchen space and culinary workshops that will meet the needs of culinary entrepreneurs, ‘foodies’, farmers, local residents and tourists. While I will miss cooking for seniors, colleagues and friends as the owner and Chef of Zox Kitchen, I feel very fortunate to join a team devoted to artisan food and economic development here on Cape Cod.”

Board Member and Food entrepreneur, Bert Jackson added: “I’m thrilled to have Alan on board as our Executive Director. His organic food experience will resonate with health and environmentally conscious Cape Codders, and his entrepreneurial and fundraising experience will drive CKC3 to the next level.”

“Chef Alan earned a PhD from Rutgers University and attended the Culinary Institute of America.  His strong educational pedigree has enabled him to work successfully as a food columnist, blogger and cooking instructor.  We envision Chef Alan initiating a food workshop program here.” said Roberta Miller, Commercial Kitchen Coop of Cape Cod Board Member.
